Loan to Value (LTV)

What is LTV? How LTV limits affect home loan and LAP eligibility.

Loan to Value (LTV) is the ratio of the loan amount to the value of the asset (e.g. property or vehicle).

Lenders cap LTV to limit risk. For example, 80% LTV on a ₹50L property means maximum loan ₹40L.

Higher LTV may mean higher interest rate or additional insurance. LTV caps vary by product and borrower segment.
